19th century wood framed memorial photograph. Sacred To The Memory Walter Royale. Died October 9th 1875, aged 10 years, 9 months, 9 days. What tragic circumstances befell young Walt? The Jersey boy was much loved. In life he is posed in studio with an extremely ornate embroidered jacket and seems to stare back from the grave, ageless. A precious one from us has gone A voice we loved is stilled A place is vacant in our home Which never can be filled.
God in his wisdom has recalled The boon his love had given And though the body moulders here The soul is safe in Heaven.
Great wood frame, with fine gold trim. Photo glare from original wavy glass. CDV Carte De Visite image by H. Jaeger Paterson New Jersey N.J.
