Memorial photograph circa 1880 of a much loved black lady. This early funeral memorial image is full of symbolism. Keys, dove, sunburst, cross angels and forget me nots are all detailed on this remarkable tribute. Signed by artist photographer, Falk on lower left. This large piece measures eight inches by six and is backed onto a copper colored metal frame. there are no cracks or chips on this nice vintage Victorian remembrance. The inscription, no cross, no crown certainly stll rings true today.
