Antique scrapbook of Mourning human hair clippings, dated 1849 to 1851.
35 different clippings, 21 of which are intricately braided.
Woven into designs secured with ribbon ties and hand stitched to the pages.
This museum quality rarity contains several Limericks and poems.
Likely a friendship scrapbook, though most hair samples from married women
When I am Dead and in my Grave,
And all my Bones are rotten'

This lock of Hair, I once did wear

CVD photo size yet very disturbing.

Spes In Deo, Hope In God Mass Card 1936
Antique Mass card, Hope In God for Martha Wittevrongel.
Full of spiritual symbolism, this early remembrance ephemeral,
gives pause for this, so far unknown soul.
No one seems to remember Martha, who died Sunday February 26 1936.
Buried along with her name, she lives on in this listing.
Certainly loved by someone ?
