A011

Thy Will Be Done Mourning Card Set of 3 Exceptional 1909 Edwardian unused color postcard series set of 3 by Bamforth and Company Publishers Holmfirth England.
A Mothers loss deeply evident as she mourns beside a sepulcher graveyard.
Post Mortem view of lost Daughter and a soulful prayer for her departed child. More Photos Below.

Let but my fainting heart be blest
with Thy sweet spirit for it's guest
My God to The I leave the rest.
Thy Will Be Done

Renew my will from day to day
Blend it with Thine and take away
All that makes it hard to say.
Thy Will Be Done

What though in Lonely grief I sigh
For Friends beloved no longer nigh
Submissive would I still reply.
Thy Will Be Done

If Thou shouldst call me to resign
What most I prize it ne'er was mine
I only yield Thee what is Thine.
Thy Will Be Done

My God my Father while I stray
Far from my home on life's rough way
O teach me from my heart to say.
Thy Will Be Done

Though dark my path and sad my lot
Let me be still and murmur not
Or breath the prayer divinely taught.
Thy Will Be Done

MMM12

Cape May Cemetery Cold Spring Presbyterian Textured linen like old postcard of Cape May New Jersey cemetery;
Cold Spring Presbyterian graveyard.
Coincidentally after visiting this church grave, yard circa 1714,
we found this early divided back post card in a local Cape May N.J. antique shop,
under a ton of unrelated ephemera. I have included a modern shot I took of one of the more compelling grave stones, a Weeping Willow and Mourning Urn for reference.

NFPA1001

North Fork Pet Antiques TearDrop Memories I have always wanted a seminal image that went with my 2 biggest themed TIAS web shops;
TearDrop Memories & North Fork Pet Antiques.
I wanted something that channeled both Dead guy & old Pets!
I think this early photo postcard fills the bill.
A wildly stuffed Taxidermy saddle clad St. Bernard Dog, with a rather stoic kid riding him.
