Vintage Ophelia Death Photo Card Medici Society rendition of the famous Shakespeare Hamlet drowing scene of Ophelia drowned.
The Society has really captured the look of the original in this limited edition postcard.
From the original in the National Gallery, the card reads Official series J.E. Millais 1805 London Official series number 165.
From a Most beautiful source, T. The model who posed for the picture posed in a silver lace dress in this bathtub.
The tub water was heated with candles, but the artist, Sir John M. got so wrapped up in his work one evening, that the candles sputtered to an end, and the water became chilled.
Poor lady almost died of pneumonia.
Great divided back Shakespearean theme card.
